Why would some ghost
Come in and haunt my apartment
With the howling winds
As my only friends
Did he not hear that subway
Roaring above us
Ceaseless neon glow
With eyes open or closed
How much worse could he really make it
All I’ve got to my name is dirty, worn down and outdated
I can’t believe some ghost
Would haunt my apartment
Peeling paint
Decay you can never wash away, no
He rattled chains
And moved around some of my stuff
I just rolled my eyes
Could not muster surprise
The ghost in my apartment
Is who ended up haunted
That ghost is now departed
The apartment’s still haunted
Who was this ghost
That tried to haunt my apartment
‘Cus my howling friends
Would like to see him again, yeah
He left behind all of his paraphernalia
And the ghouls in here
They’d like to grab up their share
How much worse is it going to get when
